Prompt #137, It’s Post Your Poems Day!

January 9, 2013

Peas in a pod

We Write Poems:

Peas in a pod, as we suggested you write a poem combining not just a group of words (wordle), but a group of larger “ideas”.  That makes for a little different sort of considered integration for the poem you could write.  Our gathered ideas were,

a piece of dinnerware
an emotional feeling
a fixed span of time
an act of affection

Lots of room for us to play with using this gathering form.  Time now share your poems with us here!  Pass the butter please!

**********

Don’t have a poem yet? Perhaps read a few done by others here, be inspired. There’s still plenty of time to discover a poem for yourself!

Leave the links to your poems in the comments of this post, then go visit your fellow writers’ sites and read their work. Remember to leave only positive comments in the spirit of sharing and not critiquing. We look forward to reading your poems!

Please remember to include a link with your blog poem post that links right back to here, this “Post Your Poems Day”, so that others reading your poem can also share in this community poem experience – maybe even someone new to We Write Poems!

If you are new to WWP, please be welcome to look around and read. The full prompt description you can find under “Recent Posts” on the top right of our page.

I am not sure if it is the right approach but it is an offering all the same.

Included this one as a small stone, which I hope is acceptable. http://miskmask.wordpress.com/2013/01/05/river-of-stones-2013-day-5/

I finally get to post this here…I wrote it last week and promptly posted it to my blog…At first I wasn’t quite sure where to go, but then I never am. I pause, stop, and my Muse gives me a slight shove and then I have some fun:

I think as long as we express ourselves, then everything is acceptable – as lone as “We Write Poems”
I hope to be back later to read – I have errands, and projects, maybe a grandson visit and a dinner to attend.
‘Til we meet again my writing friends…

Mesmerising poem on drinks/imbibing and the title really does its work. (am unable to comment on blog, the word verification bit is a killer).
