Prompt #11: It’s Post Your Poem Day!
Did you unleash your subconscious in your writing this week? Have you written a poem using that material? Did your writing turn out to be surreal, or did it seem to be too real for your liking? Whatever direction Nicole’s prompt took you, it’s time to share it with the world! Leave a link to your post in the comments section, and go visit everyone else’s posts to see what diverse ideas we undoubtedly had this week. Remember, if you leave comments on others’ writing, do so in the spirit of community and encouragement.
Thanks Nicole!

So maybe I should’a gone to the beach today. Didn’t. Here’s this instead. Cobblestones. Small bumps in life.

Don’t know about anyone else, but I can get pretty silly with free association. I’ve copied it out faithfully if you’re curious. It did, however give me one serious poem; and the leftovers made another, pretty-ish.
un-pre-meditated thought
This poem brought to you by the letter N: Nonsense, Nonsense
Here’s my offering for this week….evidently the oil spill is still hanging out in my mind. BTW I *will* get around to reading people’s poems this time. RL has just snuck up on me lately….

This was a blast for me, I wrote two. I loved writing this way, and will likely do it again. Both of my pieces are a bit surreal. If you only want to read the poems and not the process, scroll through, the titles are in bold. Thanks for being here We Write Poems, and for the prompt, Nicole!

I started with a series of wildly divergent images and then they all seemed to fall into a pattern. So I followed.

I enjoyed this prompt, the experience of the writing and am so-so on the result. BUT HEY! I wrote and completed the process. Now I can make Samuel pancakes.

My letter inspiration, “F” Swift Descent.
I used the “S” for this prompt. I didn’t know what would result… but, luckily, something did! Here it is:

(and I’ll be around to read yours later)
I guess mine counts as surreal. Nicole, what a cool prompt.

Ack! I can’t handle the handle on the bucket! http://lindagoin.com/2010/cant-handle-the-bucket.html
Yikes! A bucket error perhaps? Error message. Can’t get to your blog tonight. Will try later.
Oopsy Linda..the link is bad.
Hey folks — I was at a poetry meet today, then visited a friend in the hospital and then came home to a mess. But, it’s all fixed. Feel free to visit!
Thanks!
Here is mine…..surreal…automatic or something

Hi Wayne. I’m not getting through the blog authorization tonight (but not to be dissuaded… ). Very nice poem. Image rich yet not crowded in the least, and I like the movement too, right out into the landscape as a whole (and more). Nicely done!
