Prompt #82, It’s Post Your Poems Day!

November 30, 2011

word relationship pairs

We Write Poems:
Toss six words above your head, select three pairs of two, then write a poem describing those relationships of words. Our list was (gathering oak color membrane voice limb). These might be written as three unrelated poemlets, or for the brave, connect each of the three together as well. We were looking for what forms of relationship you might find in language or meaning or both – just what writing poems is much about. Please now take a moment to share your results with us.

We hope your Thanksgiving was kind to you, or you to it. Now a moments breath before begins the December fray. Hope as well that Peace will be one of the gifts you will welcome in the coming month.

Don’t have a poem yet? Perhaps read a few done by others here, be inspired. There’s still plenty of time to discover a poem for yourself!

Leave the links to your poems in the comments of this post, then go visit your fellow writers’ sites and read their work. Remember to leave only positive comments in the spirit of sharing and not critiquing. We look forward to reading your poems!

Please remember to include a link with your blog poem post that links right back to here, this “Post Your Poems Day”, so that others reading your poem can also share in this community poem experience – maybe even someone new to We Write Poems!

If you are new to WWP, please be welcome to look around and read. The full prompt description you can find under “Recent Posts” on the top right of our page.

Geez, I tossed and I tossed but the turkey and dressing got in my way….and the casseroles and wine and…well, you get the picture. Irene you’ve been a naughty little girl (too much shopping) so you Xmas cheer is coming to you on a slow boat to Singapore, hope it arrives in time. Here’s wishing everyone has a Merry Christmas and for those that aspire to political correctness a Happy Holidays while we journey through a “Winter Change” or a “Passion Potion”, which ever strikes your fancy.
