Good morning, dear poets. I’ve really been enjoying your poems written to my prompts this month. Thank you.

For this prompt I’d like you to write about “windows and doors,” and what they mean to you. How do you perceive closed windows or doors? Do want to open them? If they’re open do you feel like you’re invading someone else’s space if you glance in?

When I see big the 16th Century doors here in downtown Puebla, I imagine what’s behind those doors or what might have been behind them long ago. Are there beautiful gardens and fountains inside? I often think about life during the French invasion here.

I also love staring out windows just for the briefest of moments to catch something in the world I might have otherwise missed. Or daydreaming, because I love to daydream simply for the sake of it.

So there’s your prompt, poets. Please write about “windows and doors,” and what they mean to you. Thanks for joining in.

Pamela

    Pamela,
Thank you for a wonderful month of prompts!

Tad pressed for time this week. The last poem of this series fits so well here. It isn’t long so please enjoy all the parts that make the whole.

I’m sorry I’ve missed your prompts, Pamela – I’ve been doing Octpowrimo poem a day prompts and have only limited energy to write and follow up. I’ll be back at WWP in November.
