National Poetry Writing Month, April 2012

We Write Poems:
It’s National Poetry Month!  We’re writing poems.  Congratulations to one and all.  This day completes the April month of poems for us!  Give yourself a big gold star for writing and playing along!  No matter really, whether you wrote one poem or thirty.  All participation counts and makes a difference!

Poem Day number Thirty!  Link your poems or comments below!

Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese.
~G.K. Chesterton

Stay tuned!  Tomorrow, May 1st, we’ll have a special posting and opportunity for folks who’ve written poems during this National Poetry Month.  See you then!

I really love those gold stars which I used to stick on the exercise book. Thanks to all, who have posted their writing here, to share. Felt kind of having completed long distance running. Yay!

I took part without posting to prompt sites – just used the prompts and posted on my blog. Here’s one from yesterday, by way of celebration that it’s over: http://imnotaverse.wordpress.com/2012/04/29/napowrimo-day-29/

Thanks for the encouraging quotes this month.

I know what Irene means about completing a marathon. The only problem with that is that it’s very hard to stop, the habit is ingrained (and engrossing)!
