NaPoWriMo #12

National Poetry Writing Month, April 2012

We Write Poems:
It’s National Poetry Month!  Read our start up posting to learn what we’re doing here.  Care to come play with us?

Poem Day number Twelve!  Link your poems or comments below!

Poetry is, above all, an approach to the truth of feeling… A fine poem will seize your imagination intellectually – that is, when your reach it, you will reach it intellectually too – but the way is through emotion, through what we call feeling.

Joining in, though I haven’t been posting a poem every single day. It’s good to flex those writing muscles again – I’m back at it after a long hiatus. My poem for today, which grew out of playing with several prompts, but follows none of them: On Inspiration

Great attitude I think! And here, we’re not counting anyway – write what and how and when you do (me too). Always welcome here.

I have four poems to offer today 🙂 ranging from haiku to limerick, through experience in the surgery room to fake homophonic translation of someone else’s poem… Epic mess:

I can only hope to get away with posting three links, but I didn’t want to write all the poems in the same post, for fear some will remain unnoticed 🙂
