Prompt #97 A study in Transitions
A study in Transitions
a photographic-story prompt
We Write Poems:
This week’s prompt is A study in (image) Transitions, using these three images presented here in series. We have taken care to keep our prompt title as generic as possible so as not to color your own possible and varied responses to these images. We ask simply that your poem in some fashion as you decide and construct, be a “story” poem describing the transitions you here observe and feel, either directly or implicit. We will leave it simply at that! Good writing to you all.
Please click on the image to see it in the full (800 x 1601) format.
Sincere thanks to Mariya Mileva for permission to post these three deeply intriguing photo images on our WWP site! Please visit her websites to see and read more about her photography (although we do suggest, write your poem first so’s to most honor your own unique personal perceptions and experience!).
Come back next Wednesday when you see, “It’s Post Your Poems Day!” and leave a link to the poem on your blog. If you don’t have a blog, then please, post your poem in the comment itself. *** You are invited to respond to the prompt given here, but if you have something else you’re just itching to share, please feel welcome in doing that. Our first desire here is to encourage you to write and learn and share. *** When leaving comments to other’s poems, please be appreciative and encouraging. We are not a poem “critique” site (unless someone specifically asks for that). Be kind with each other (and yourself!). *** Please consider including a link with your blog poem back to the prompt response here at We Write Poems so that others may see and join our community. More participants do make better soup!
