Prompt #78 Trick or Treat

October 27, 2011

Trick or Treat!

We Write Poems:
So think of this please as your autumnal Halloween recess time!  You know the theme. Goblins and things that wear a sheet and go bump in the night.  This week carry this theme away in any direction you wish, without even a hint of form not chosen by your own imagination.  Have fun be it folly or serious!

To quote one master of this season’s night, Mr. Orsen Wells, That grinning, glowing, globular invader of your living room is an inhabitant of the pumpkin patch, and if your doorbell rings and nobody’s there, that was no Martian… it’s Halloween.  Boo!

Thanks to Miskmask for encouraging this celebration!

Come back next Wednesday when you see,It’s Post Your Poems Day!” and leave a link to the poem on your blog. If you don’t have a blog, then please, post your poem in the comment itself.    ***    You are invited to respond to the prompt given here, but if you have something else you’re just itching to share, please feel welcome in doing that. Our first desire here is to encourage you to write and learn and share.    ***    When leaving comments to other’s poems, please be appreciative and encouraging. We are not a poem “critique” site (unless someone specifically asks for that). Be kind with each other (and yourself!).    ***    Please consider including a link with your blog poem back to the prompt response here at We Write Poems so that others may see and join our community. More participants do make better soup!

I have written a piece for your “Trick or Treat” Prompt #78 which I originaly saw posted in Wordgathering hosted by Margo. Should I post it here? As I only have a Word Press blog for AROS = A River of Stones. I am not sure how to add links… though I could try as I am posting the in the Daily Gatherings Group for 10/28/11 at http://www.writingourwayhome.com where I am known as JulesPaige.
    Thanks for the inspiration!

I’ve attempted the link – I hope it works… The poem is about the third post down in after the discussion intro.
