Prompt #43 Guardian Angel

February 24, 2011

Guardian Angel

Do you have a guardian angel? Has the notion of some angel that arrives just for you in just the right moment ever occurred to you? Take a look at your life; has such a moment come that perhaps you overlooked? Describe the moment as best you can. How did this person, or “angel”, look to you? Did they speak with you? (Do you think they even knew they were being an angel for you?) Finding nothing in your history like this? Then use your imagination. Imagine perhaps that you were being an “angel” for someone else. Would you in fact know that’s what you were doing? Imagine a scene. Tell us how it looks to you. How much might you think your angel would really want to do. How might your poem now reflect this story and scene within itself? There’s your challenge for this week!

Come back next Wednesday when you see,It’s Post Your Poems Day!” and leave a link to the poem on your blog. If you don’t have a blog, then please, post your poem in the comment itself.    ***    You are invited to respond to the prompt given here, but if you have something else you’re just itching to share, please feel welcome in doing that. Our first desire here is to encourage you to write and learn and share.    ***    When leaving comments to other’s poems, please be appreciative and encouraging. We are not a poem “critique” site (unless someone specifically asks for that). Be kind with each other (and yourself!).    ***    Please consider including a link with your blog poem back to the prompt response here at We Write Poems so that others may see and join our community. More participants do make better soup!
