Nicole’s award from ANCA Foundation

November 25, 2010

Our heartiest congratulations to Nicole Nicholson for receiving the International Literary Award at the 2010 Inaugural International Naturally Autistic Awards.

The award was for a collection of poems entitled “Novena” that Nicole submitted in mid-July 2010 to the ANCA Foundation.

You are invited to view Nicole’s acceptance speech video as well as Nicole reading one of the poems from the collection, called “You Don’t See It“, both of which were screened at the awards ceremony on 30 October 2010 held in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Nicole started writing poems about Asperger’s Syndrome earlier this year. Please read Nicole’s article on The Poetry of Difference.

We are very happy to celebrate Nicole’s success in writing poems that cut through the chaff to touch people’s hearts and soul.

Big applause.

Hi all: Sorry this is a bit late, but thank you for the sincere compliments! Blogging and writing have been a way for me to chronicle my journeys with everything, Asperger’s included, and to tell stories. I think what I feel the best about is the fact that what I write moves, affects, and touches people — and isn’t that what every poet wants, anyway? Thanks to the WWP community for the congratulations, well wishes, and the mention of the award.
