Thursday Prompt #18, Need to Know Basis

September 2, 2010

This is a two part prompt. The first part is to write three things that you feel are most important for another individual, or group of people, to know about you. It might be good to have a specific individual, or group in mind when you create your three point list. Family, co-workers, a friend, an acquaintance, an individual you would like to meet someday, a famous person or celebrity you would like to speak with, or a group you might wish to join, these are just some possibilities.

The second part of the prompt is to write three things you know about that chosen individual or group of persons. Then tie the two lists together into a poem.

Show us the poem, and optionally, your two lists as well.

Come back next Wednesday to share your poem by posting a link to the poem on your blog. If you don’t have a blog, then please, post your poem right in the comment itself.

You’re invited to respond to the prompt given here, but if you have something else you are just itching to share, please feel welcome in doing that. Our first desire here is to encourage you to write and learn and share.

When leaving comments to other’s poems, please be appreciative and encouraging. We are not a poem “criticism” site (unless someone specifically asks for that). Be kind with each other (always a good idea). Enjoy!

Interesting song. Poems been coming glacially to me of late. Maybe good just to respond to something lively, no matter what!
    Thanks.

Scratch that first line. No, I never get confused – except easily!

Thanks. But please, if you would, save your poem link for the “It’s Post Your Poem Day” post that comes out on the Wednesday following the Thursday prompt.

Not a matter of right or wrong, but just that more people will be looking for linked poems there instead of here.

And very glad to have you here!

I’m getting really bad at sticking to the spirit of a prompt, but here’s mine: http://vivinfrance.wordpress.com/2010/09/08/thee-and-me/

Thanks, thanks, I love eagerness! But please see the note I left above for happyflowerwordzoo. Just so more people get to see your poem is why.

But it is Wednesday – at least it is here! Where do I find the right place?

I love that blogging is so international. But yes, that makes days and times a whirlwind to figure out. Simple way for here at WWP is wait for the second follow-up post, titled “It’s Post Your Poems Day”, as is posted on the blog right now. That’s the “place”.

        Thanks for asking Viv.
